This work package aims at collecting relevant information that will guide and support the planning of the new Master on Climate Change, Agriculture and Rural Sustainable development in our local Partner Universities in Ecuador and Peru.
Deliverable 1.1-Need Assessment Report
The study aimed to collect relevant information to support the planning and development of a new highly relevant Research Master on the topics of Climate Change, Agriculture, and Sustainable Rural Development in the Partner Universities of the Project both in Ecuador and Peru. The Master through a multidisciplinary approach, an updated and technological learning and teaching environment aims at satisfying the requests and demands of the labor market and prepare qualified graduates ready to face the challenges of the socio-economic situation and the environmental context of Peru and Ecuador.
To carry out this work, each Partner Country University, surveyed three categories of stakeholders: students, teachers and researchers and labor market actors (companies, public institutions, Nonprofit organizations). A total of 144 stakeholders have been interviewed for the Survey (78 in Ecuador, 66 in Peru) among the three categories.
Moreover, an internal academic offer survey has been completed by each Partner Country University in Ecuador and Peru to have a clearer and updated overview of their current academic offer, structure and organization.
The Report includes an introductive comparative analysis of the results of the four Need Assessment studies carried out in each Latin American Universities. It also contains the detailed Need Assessment Report from each Partner Country’s University.
